Karma Mobility have a history of building recliner wheelchairs and this experience that gives them the extensive knowledge of designing and building very fine functional reclining wheelchairs. The MVP-502 model is a great example of this and has been evolving for 10 years.
This self propelled model shares its frame with the transit 502 and has some very innovative features that set it apart from its direct rivals. A key feature is the unique seating system, that not only increases the comfort of the seat in the reclined position, but supports and keeps the user in the right position that is crucial for both comfort and safety. The arm rest system is very clever and moves the positioning of the arm rest as the wheelchair reclines, lowering it so as to provide maximum support and comfort being the right height for the user. This process is reversed as the wheelchair backrest is moved back up.
