Self-Propelled Wheelchairs

Self-propelled wheelchairs are designed to be operated by the user. They tend to have larger back wheels which are rotated using the push-rims attached. The smaller front wheels are on castors allowing the operator to change directions by applying pressure on the desired back wheel. The larger wheels are also a great help when going over obstacles like kerbs. All of our self-propelled wheelchairs have handles to allow help with pushing when required.
