There’s lots to consider when buying a wheelchair. We offer two different variations self-propelled and transit.

Self-propelled are designed to be pushed by the operator. They tend to have larger back wheels which are pushed using the pushrims attached. The smaller front wheels rotate allowing the operator to change directions by applying pressure on the desired back wheel. The larger wheels are also a great help when going over obstacles like kerbs. All of our wheelchairs have handles to allow help with pushing when required.

Transit wheels chairs are designed to be pushed by a helper and are more commonly used over shorter distances. They have smaller wheels and are more manoeuvrable than self-propelled chairs. They also tend to be smaller and lighter making them easy to transport.
